Citizenship
To qualify for Canadian citizenship, most applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Be a permanent resident of Canada,
• Have lived in Canada for at least 3 out of the last 5 years (a minimum of 1,095 days),
• Have filed taxes in Canada,
• Pass a citizenship test,
• Demonstrate proficiency in either English or French.
