Visit Canada
Visitors are individuals who are neither Canadian citizens nor permanent residents of Canada, but are legally authorized to enter the country for purposes such as:
• Vacation or tourism,
• Visiting family members,
• Conducting business, and other reasons.
Non-citizens and non-permanent residents may need a visa to enter Canada, including those who are temporarily passing through the country. If a visa is not required, an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) may be necessary.
